the balance of accessibility and gatekeeping is a slippery slope, and more often than not bungie falls down. i say let it drop from ANY pvp win no matter what playlist it is. I wasnt happy about bungie locking a catalyst behind comp WINS, as most players will never get it. i dont know how accurate that is, but at least fabled 1 can drop it. My understanding is the caddy has a 5% drop on wins at fabled, 10% drop at mythic, and 100% at legend. I was still at fabled 1 and after a win it dropped. a few days later i spent a several hours in comp just to try and get wins hoping the caddy would drop. Knowing i am locked in at fabled for the rest of the season was liberating, as i wasnt stressed about the matches and didnt have a lot of pressure on myself. the good news is once you get to fabled you can lose every game the rest of the season and still be at fabled because that is the new “floor.” As the result you will get an additional perk. ![]() Catalysts are in-game objects that are meant to enhance the exotic weapons, giving them new unique powerful perks. By buying this service you will get the fully masterworked catalyst for your MIDA Multi-Tool. Mini-Tool is the re-issued version of the previous Opulent weapon, MIDA. MIDA Multi-Tool catalyst masterwork Upgrade carry. I just kept at it and eventually i hit fabled, which was the hardest part on my journey to the mida caddy. The weapon becomes adaptable for multiple scenarios without having the best. i lost a lot of that “free” progress and it was frustrating to say the least. i would always end up further than where i was just from this weekly bonus.Īfter a few weeks i would see how i was gettin there, slowly but surely buuuuuut i got a little impatient and decided to go for it and i got wrecked HARD. i would get a “free” 120 points to rank up. My idea was just play 3 comp matches a week. Drop rates were adjusted and now properly scale with the Clan 'Catalyst Seeker' Perk bonus. Per Destiny 2 Update 2.8.0: Obtaining the MIDA Catalyst is no longer impeded by playing with Clanmates. The previous season was so long, i decided to go for the mida caddy. Had an earlier post about not being certain, but now I know. going into comp is like jumping into the deep end of the pool and not knowing how to swim, but i will tell you this: Let us know your thoughts on it in the comments.I am trash tier at pvp. I don’t see this revolutionizing how Guardians use the weapon, but it’s a nice change that might bring it back into rotation. It’s not the best buff, but it works, and that can be applied to all activities. You can shoot at them and know that your flinch isn’t going to see the sights move dramatically because you’ve been aiming for a short while. Sure, it’s not a great trait, and it won’t turn that many heads, but it does make the weapon slightly more beneficial in terms of the broad range of activities in Destiny 2.įor example, you can now take MIDA Multitool into PvP and aim down sights at an area where you know there are enemies. No Distractions applies a useful buff that rewards you for being careful and using the weapon’s sights. It’s one that you’ll almost certainly have used in the past, but because it only really comes into play in the field, it’s not fantastic. There are a few ways that this could be useful, but all of them would be worse if this was any weapon other than MIDA Multitool.Īiming down sights with this weapon reveals chests, something that’s incredibly useful to All Guardians in certain circumstances. This new trait reduces the flinch on incoming hits after you aim down the sights for a short while. However, with Season 14 comes a swap from Outlaw to No Distractions. ![]() Basically, this is a fairly useless perk, and that makes MIDA Multitool pretty damn useless as well. In order to obtain Mida Multi-Tool Catalyst, players will have to play matches in the Competitive playlist, while at Legend Rank: Mida Multi-Tool Catalyst could. It’s nothing that I pay too much attention to, particularly since Bungie nerfed it. Without the Exotic equipped, the weapon still has phenomenal. ![]() ![]() Calus Mini-Tool is one of the few weapons with the MIDA Synergy Archetype, which gives the user additional speed benefits when the MIDA Multi-Tool Exotic is equipped. Currently, this perk increases your reload speed after a precision kill. The Calus Mini-Tool is a unique SMG in Destiny 2 that is part of the Opulent weapon set in Season of the Haunted. The thing that’s changing with MIDA Multitool is the Outlaw perk. That’s why a small, yet potentially quite interesting, change is being made to the weapon with the game’s next season. Guardians aren’t using it as much as they once were, and the developer wants to change that. The weapon is one of the Exotics that Bungie has noticed is falling out of favor. As of Destiny 2 Season 14, which is potentially named Season of the Splicer, MIDA Multitool is changing.
